Welcome to the website of the North Carolina Association of School Resource Officers (NCASRO).

 

We are a not-for-profit association of law enforcement officers and school officials who work to ensure a safe and secure learning environment throughout the schools in North Carolina. Our members, some 350 in number, come from all corners of the state, and include police officers, deputy sheriffs, school resource officers, principals, assistant principals, school safety coordinators, and school security directors. *Region 3 is open. Please submit a letter to our mailbox with a letter of support from your Chief or Sheriff.  We are interviewing at our next meeting which should be in Durham, NC.

*The next conference will be July 12th -16th with early registration on July 11th

*School Administrators and principals interested in attending and hearing some of the selected classes and featured speakers can attend the conference for any 2 days of their choice for the discounted price of only $100.00

SRO of The Year for 2009Deputy Anthony Alexander was employed as a Jailer from Oct. 1986 to March 1987.  Deputy Alexander worked for the Elizabeth City Police Department from March 1987 to December 1990.  After working for the Police Department for a few years he moved on to work for the City of Cary Police during December 1990 to July 1991.  Deputy Alexander went back to the Elizabeth City Police Department and worked to the Rank of Patrol Sergeant between August 1991 and ...
