The Lindsay Welch 5K Run/Walk was established
in the honor of Past President, Lindsay Welch in 2006. Lindsay was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Throat Cancer in 2006. He
completed 3 months of treatments and has been cancer free for 5 years.
The Run is offered to the public and
benefits go toward a Law Enforcement Officer and their family during a time of tragedy or sickness. The Board of Directors
voted to match all funds raised by the 5K Run.
Over 100 people participated in the first run in 2006 at Sea Trails
Resort.
This wonderful and honorary event is hosted every year at the NCASRO Conference. If you know of a
need in the law enforcement community, please contact your Region Rep. If you do not wish to participate, please consider making a donation at the conference.
