Deputy Alexander is an
outstanding officer. He works very well
with the staff, students, and parents at Northeastern High School. The students show him respect because he
doesn’t look down on anyone and always tries to defuse the situations before
they escalate into an explosion of bad behavior. Deputy Alexander is a wonderful role model
for the students to look up to and he helps instill the moral qualities that
the students should take out into the world after they have graduated. Since Deputy Alexander was appointed as the
School Resource Officer at Northeastern High School they have received many
years of the Super Safe School, Triple “S” awards. Deputy Alexander is a valued employee of the
Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office and I have been very pleased with what he
has contributed to my department since he was hired. Deputy Alexander has created several videos
concerning Prom Safety Programs, Peer Mediation with students, and Safety of
the facility using Crime Prevention through Environmental Design which
contained information concerning the law and crime prevention that is
accessible to all students, faculty, and staff. Deputy Alexander created a page in the school’s bulletin concerning
Crime Prevention and Property Safety while on Campus. He is available to assist in counseling of
students when needed to help encourage them to succeed. In addition to the above listed achievements,
Deputy Alexander has received many hours of specialized training as well as in-service
training and on the job training where he received numerous certificates of
completion.
